The Dreamwool Warranty
Our mattresses carry a 10 year warranty when used on a flexible slat base, or 5 years on a solid support system. Ask for details.
Dreamwool beds use natural latex and pure NZ Southdown wool. They are foam-free and glue-free.
Dreamwool mattresses have been designed for use on the European flexible slat system. Our mattresses use the best European spring systems, giving you superior flexibility and support, combined with natural comfort layers for a more comfortable and better night's sleep.
Dreamwool mattresses provide dry natural insulation the whole year round, with warmth in winter and dry coolness in summer. Our 10 year warranty applies to Dreamwool slat bed mattresses used on flexible slat frames only. For our mattresses used on solid slat frames or box bases, the warranty is 5 years.
For 3 years from date of purchase of your Dreamwool mattress, the manufacture will repair or replace free of charge any defective materials or workmanship.
Between 3 – 10 years from the date of purchase (or up to 5 years if used on a solid slat frame or box base) the manufacturer will either repair or replace the mattress if it is found to be defective in material or workmanship, charging you on a pro-rata basis.
Any decisions to repair or replace shall be at the company's discretion.
This warranty does not apply to any defects caused by negligence, misuse or accidental damage. There is no warranty on colour or colourfastness of material used on the outer cover.
If identical materials are not available at the time any product servicing is required, the manufacturer reserves the right to substitute materials of equal quality. Proof of purchase must be supplied. The warranty only applies to the original purchaser of the mattress and does not include any transportation costs involved in repairs or replacement.
Caring For Your Dreamwool Mattress
Dreamwool mattresses require very little maintenance due to its construction. The thick wool under-quilts on our mattresses are detachable to allow airing, rotating and dry cleaning if necessary.
- Please turn your new mattress end-to-end every fortnight for the first 3 months.
- Then turn it monthly thereafter. This prolongs your mattress and adjusts the sleeping surface evenly.
- Sponge stains or soiling with a clean damp (not wet) cloth and dry immediately. Your zip off quilt may be dry cleaned if necessary. Be sure that dry cleaning instructions are followed.
- Gently run a vacuum cleaner over the mattress when needed and give the zip off underquilt an occasional airing in the sun.
- Use an under blanket or mattress protector (not foam filled) to reduce the risk of soiling.
- An electric blanket may be used on top of the mattress if required.
- Body impressions (particularly in the area where the hips rest) are a normal occurrence with any soft-topped mattress. They indicate that the support layers are conforming to the body's contours. This is not a structural defect but a normal occurrence in the performance of the mattress. To help minimise this effect we suggest you lie over as wide an area of the bed as possible during the first few month of use.
- When sleeping on a Dreamwool mattress, remember, the natural materials used in its manufacture mean you may not need as many bedclothes on your bed as you have been used to.
